Background Arginine methylation is a posttranslational modification mediated by protein arginine methyltransferases (PRMTs). Although previous studies have shown that PRMT1 contributes to the severity of allergic airway inflammation or asthma, underlying mechanism poorly understood. Objective This study aimed explore role and its relevant in development rhinitis (AR). Methods The expression levels PRMTs cytokines were determined RT-PCR, localization was immunohistochemistry confocal microscopy. house dust mite (HDM)-specific immunoglobulins serum nasal lavage fluids ELISA. inhibition achieved siRNA and treatment with pan PRMT inhibitor N-methyltransferase inhibitor-1. Results significantly increased mucosa patients mice AR. degree eosinophilic infiltration reduced PRMT1+/?
